Wir sind im Auftrag des Herrn unterwegs 2

(Down below in english) 6 Uhr 30 ist wirklich verdammt früh, aber es nutzt ja nichts, die Schüler warten und sie haben ein gutes Netz verdient. Es kann ja keiner etwas dafür, dass wir dachten, hier könnte das mit dem 4G auch funktionieren; nicht.

Also müssen wir gleich zu meinem anderen Büro fahren und diese Idylle hier verlassen, die Just von einem so unfassbar schönen Sonnenaufgang geprägt ist, dass es einem den Atem raubt.

Aber auch meine Aussenstelle ist im Gegensatz zu dem Büro in Hamburg, München, Frankfurt oder dem Raum in Münster der einst mein Zuhause war, ein Traum, denn auch sie liegt am Strand; nur eben 26 Kilometer weiter.

Sie denken jetzt möglicherweise, dass 26 Kilometer inklusive Stadtverkehr Stress sind, aber wir sind hier ja nicht in Deutschland, hier hupt keiner im Stau, hier sind die meisten wie ich, verschlafen, träge und zu müde zum meckern und motzen: Siga, Siga.

Also freue ich mich auf superfreundliche Schülerinnen und Schüler aus aller Herren Länder, ein Büro am Strand und auf die Zukunft, denn unsere kleine Insel wartet und Silvana und ich sind so entspannt, wie wir es beide wohl noch nie um 6 Uhr dreißig waren. Obwohl, es ist ja jetzt schon sieben Uhr zwanzig.

Danke Griechenland für diesen Seelenfrieden, danke Silvana für Deine ruhige Art, sodass wir uns selbst auf kleinstem Raum nicht auf die Nerven fallen und danke Nickki, dass ich das Gefühl habe, auch beruflich nicht allein zu sein.

Was soll ich sagen? Wir sind halt im Auftrag des Herrn unterwegs. Jetzt müssen wir aber wirklich langsam los.

We are on the Lord’s errand 2
6:30 a.m. is really damn early, but it’s no use, the students are waiting and they deserve a good network. It’s no one’s fault that we thought 4G might work here too; it doesn’t.

So we have to drive straight to my other office and leave this idyllic place, which is just so incredibly beautiful at sunrise that it takes your breath away.

But unlike the office in Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt or the room in Münster that used to be my home, my other office is also a dream, because it is also on the beach, just 26 kilometers away.

You might think that 26 kilometers including city traffic is stressful, but this isn’t Germany, nobody honks their horn in traffic jams here, most people are like me, sleepy, lazy and too tired to complain and grumble: Siga, Siga.

So I’m looking forward to super-friendly students from all over the world, an office on the beach and the future, because our little island is waiting and Silvana and I are more relaxed than we’ve ever been at 6.30 am. Although, it is already seven twenty now.

Thank you Greece for this peace of mind, thank you Silvana for your calm manner, so that we don’t get on each other’s nerves even in the smallest of spaces, and thank you Nickki for giving me the feeling that I’m not alone, even professionally.

What can I say? We are simply on the Lord’s errand. But now we really have to get going.
